Snoring during one's sleep is a common problem and can be a source of irritation between couples who share a bed. If one wakes up in the night for whatever reason, and the partner is snoring heavily it can be difficult to get back to sleep.
Unfortunately, a lot of people who snore, also suffer from sleep apnoea, where breathing actually stops for anything up to 20 seconds. The resulting low blood oxygen level causes a reflex to occur where the person wakes up and starts to breathe again, often with a snort or slight choking. This can happen several times a night, or even several times an hour during sleep, with the result that a sufferer does not get adequate refreshing sleep and feels tired during the day.
The snoring, and the sleep apnoea are often caused by some slight obstruction in the upper respiarory tract, and, in order to overcome thje problem it is necessary to determine the cause.
Fortunately, there is an inexpensive book that you can download that gives comprehensive information on how to overcome snoring and sleep apnoea.
